Cool Waters is the fragrance that got me into fragrances. I just love it. This is the closest you will ever get to a proper clone of Cool Waters. Believe me, Ive tried a lot. It starts off quite heavy on the airy notes, which then die down and give room for the rich sweet heart to come through. I was anticipating something a little different since it mentions vintage (1988, which Ive never smelled), as sometimes they have other notes. But no it smells like straight up Cool Waters before corners were cut. Their other version smells like the more modern simplified Cool Waters which I feel should be scraped now that they have this better version.
Honestly, although it smelt very aromatic at first I knew it wasnt going to be a laster. The sweet aquatic heart part of the fragrance is what makes it last and since it took its time to open, but still not really shine out strongly (and being a freshie which have the lowest lasting reputation), I just knew it would struggle. For me anyway, it projects quite well for about an hour, then dies down from that point onwards and is gone in about 5. Like I said about the other version of Cool Waters, this needs a little tweak with the strenght of different notes to make it into a fantastic fragrance. Event still, its the closest Ive ever smelt and I have to give credit for that so 5 stars.
