Cyperus scariosus, commonly known as cypriol or nutgrass, is a plant of the family Cyperaceae. It is a perennial herbaceous riverbed plant native to India’s Madhya Pradesh state. It is one of the most invasive weeds known, having spread out to a world-wide distribution in tropical and temperate regions

Bold and incendiary at the top, Nagarmotha (also known as Cypriol) enchants with its smoky, spellbinding, cabalistic dynamism. It invigorates the nose with facets of leather, smoldering rare woods, nose-opening camphor, and stoic frankincense. As it dries down, we have strong impressions of earthy vetiver in a warm embrace of comforting cinnamon, clove and ginger. This EO has remarkable tenacity and fixative quality—several days on the strip and its sinewy spirit is still markedly perceptible. A fine accompaniment for aromatic woods, spice, citrus, incense, leather, resinous and campfire accords.”
